Dan Trachtenberg to helm Y: The Last Man

Dan Trachtenberg, best known for his 2011 short fan film “Portal: No Escape” has been announced as taking charge of the adaptation of Y: The Last Man that New Line Cinema has been “working on” since 2002. The screenplay has been written by Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaias.

Y: The Last Man is the story of Yorick Brown, who in the not too distant future is left the sole human male alive after a mysterious virus wipes out anyone with a Y chromosome. Along with the only other male alive, his monkey Ampersand, Yorick is teamed with agent 355 to find out what has happened from the plague and why he and Ampersand are the only males left.
