Robert Axelrod was known for his work on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as the US versions first exclusive and TERRIFYING villain, Lord Zedd, along with multiple characters on Digimon and other animated series. Roberts agent released the following statement.
“Robert enjoyed meeting his fans and inspiring them to follow their passions,” his agent said in the Twitter statement. “His beautiful and kindred soul will never be forgotten and we take comfort in knowing his memory will live on in all those he inspired, met and knew.”
Robert was a guitarist in the ’70’s and moved on to Voice Acting in the 1980’s where he voiced over 150 characters. Personally, Lord Zedd was a frightening and welcome addition to the Power Rangers franchise and his instantly recognizable voice made the character famous in both the TV series and the 1995 film. Fans worldwide have expressed their remorse at the actors passing and we here at BigDamnGeeks share our sentiments of loss with all of Roberts family, friends and fans. Rest in Power, Robert.
